A Letter from Chris Candela​

​

I’ve spent much of my life connected to this community through family, long-standing relationships, and time spent here across different stages of my life.​

​

​

My grandparents lived in Pinckney, and for many years I spent significant time visiting them and building lasting ties that continue today. Those visits were reinforced by relatives who live and work throughout the area, giving me a genuine appreciation for the values, expectations, and sense of responsibility that define our community.

After completing our education, my wife Meredith and I made a deliberate decision to return to Livingston County to build our lives and careers. We wanted to invest our future in a place that shared our values of stability, public safety, and accountability.

That long-term perspective informs how I approach public service. The work of the Circuit Court shapes not just individual outcomes, but the direction of the community over time.

Livingston County deserves a judge who is invested in the future of our community, understands the importance of judicial restraint, and takes seriously the responsibility of making careful decisions that strengthen public trust and serve our community.
